Bullet Train 2: Will There Be A Sequel To The Mega Cast Action Hit?

After the success of the first movie, Bullet Train 2 might just happen, and hopefully the cast will be as awesome as the first time.

Bullet Train was a big hit for Sony and with that cast, it kinda had to. With Brad Pitt at the helm, the movie featured a star-studded cast of actors, who all did a great job at portraying a diverse and entertaining ensemble of characters. With how awesome the first movie turned out, this begs the question, will we get Bullet Train 2?

Directed by David Leitch, Bullet Train introduces us to a world of assassins with weird code names, as they are pitted against each other on the titular Bullet Train.

Especially the journey of Brad Pitt's character Ladybug is fun to watch as he inadvertently kills people on his path, despite not wanting to.

He is not the only entertaining character, though, as Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Bryan Tyree-Henry’s Tangerine and Lemon steal the show on multiple occasions and the action is also well choreographed.

Is Bullet Train 2 Happening?

According to Giant Freakin Robot, Bullet Train 2 is happening, despite the lack of an official statement. They also claim that Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock will make their return and might be joined by none other than Barbie herself, Margot Robbie (although she will probably not play Barbie in the movie).

Giant Freakin Robot might not be the most credible source to go ahead and claim that the sequel will definitely happen, but looking at how well received the first movie was, a sequel is not that unlikely.

There would also be more than enough source material for a sequel, as the movie is based on the Japanese novel by the same name, written by Kōtarō Isaka.

Suzuki is an ordinary man until his wife is murdered. To get answers and his revenge, Suzuki abandons his law-abiding lifestyle and takes a low-level job with a front company operated by the crime gang Maiden, who are responsible for his wife’s death. Before long, Suzuki finds himself caught up in a network of quirky and highly effective assassins.

Altough this would probably be more of a prequel than a sequel, this story would make an awesome movie should David Leitch ever be interested in expanding the world of Bullet Train.
