Armored Core 6 (AC6) is a FromSoftware game through and through, so of course one iconic weapon cannot be missed: the Moonlight Sword! It’s in basically every FromSoft game, and AC6 is thankfully no exception. But how do you get the weapon? We’ll show you.

How To Find The Moonlight Sword in AC6

You unlock the Moonlight Sword in the mission “Reach the Coral Convergence” in chapter four. The Moonlight Sword is usually hidden in some way, and AC6 is keeping up that tradition as well.

During the mission, you will eventually come across a huge, demolished bridge. Right underneath the bridge, you can find a Part Container, Armored Core 6’s most valuable collectible. The container houses the desired object: the IA-CO1W2: MOONLIGHT. It’s a light wave blade and has the following description:

Light-wave blade developed long ago by the Rubicon Research Institute. Fuses laser and pulse technology to accompany slashing attacks with waves of light. Charge to increase output, emitting larger waves of light

The Moonlight Sword In FromSoftware History

The Moonlight Sword first appeared in FromSoftware's King's Field series, which was first released in 1994. "King's Field" was an early first-person role-playing game developed by FromSoftware, and the Moonlight Sword played a significant role in those games.

Since then, it has become a recurring motive and the company’s signature, as it appeared in many of the developer's subsequent titles. The inclusion of the sword in their later games serves as a nod to the company's history and a little treat for long-time fans familiar with FromSoftware’s history.
