Cyberpunk 2077 turned 1 in December 2021 and it seems like developer CD Projekt RED wants to continue to improve the game. It's time that Night City gets an expansion – and we're probably on the cusp of receiving one.

Cyberpunk 2077 – What Awaits Us in the Next Patch?

The next Cyberpunk 2077 will likely be a pretty big one. Just a few days ago a leak was revealed which could point to more than just a little patch update, but a whole new expansion – even a DLC. Although the leak as a whole was clearly refuted by the developers, individual elements from it could still have some truth to them.

The Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen patch 1.5 should be seen as a soft relaunch of the game – at least according to the leaks. The game will be relaunched with the title Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition.

One of the developers might have disproved this on Twitter, but quite a bit of information that has also been revealed through game files – such as weapons, loot systems and better AI – which is why the discussion of a Cyberpunk DLC has come back into play.

There isn't a lot of concrete information in regards to the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC. There isn't much to go on, but many do believe that the DLC could be launched for the next patch – so keep your eyes peeled for more information guys.

It's clear that a next-gen update is on its way. It was planned for last year already, but it has been pushed back. Could it be that CDPR is just waiting until they've completed the DLC or the sequel to push it with the update?
