FromSoftware has released a live-action Elden Ring trailer, and we're beyond hyped. For anything in particular? No, because it's just that. A trailer to hype us about the game. Sadge.
Elden Ring got not one, but two live-action trailers. FromSoftware literally titled them that. If you and me think alike, then it's not the kind of live-action you were hoping for, sorry about that.
This will not be yet another game turned into an Amazon Prime or Netflix show, this is just to showcase that Elden Ring still exists, that the ratings were fantastic (they really plugged that hard) and that they apparently have enough money to afford Ming-Na Wen. Insane.
Now, I initially saw the first trailer, the one with Ming-Na Wen, and thought: I love this, but I also don't get it. She's just plugging the game. What's the hype for? Here, have a look:
Then I did a little more digging and found out that there was a second live-action trailer. That one deserves the name because it really looks like a little movie... despite it only being a minute long.
Here's the second trailer, this time, featuring Israel Adesanya, a known UFC fighter:
Once again, it's just to hype up the game. Don't get me wrong, FromSoftware deserves to do that for themselves, they've worked hard on it, and we absolutely loved Elden Ring as much as the next person.
But we'd also be lying if we said that we weren't hoping for something a little more... live-action, if you know what I mean.
A show, a movie... a TikTok. Honestly, I would have taken anything. And it seems like we're not the only people thinking that way. Many voiced their disappointment, saying that they were hoping for a DLC announcement, or if we're talking about live-action, an actual live-action announcement.
Still, let's give FromSoftware the limelight once more, guys. They deserv all those positive ratings. Let them showcase it.
