During the Anime Expo in L.A. Atlus showed the gameplay overhaul from the newly announced Persona 3 remake and presented the English work from the new voice actors.
The Persona 3 Reload remake got announced in June at the Xbox Games Showcase – well at least they tried to announce it during the Showcase. Before the official announcement was made, someone from Atlus had leaked it already making the fan base go wild.
Either way, this was a big announcement because the original game will get a complete overhaul with modernized features, new voice actors and a fancy looking interface. After the first Trailer, nobody could guess that the original game was a PlayStation 2 or PlayStation Portable title, and the new trailer proves it again.
Persona 3 Reload Gets A Closer Look In Detail
The trailer itself is centered around the protagonist, Yukari Takeba, Junpei Iori, Fuuka Yamagishi and the senior members from the SEES, Akihiko Sanada and Mitsuru Kirijo.
Everyone got their well deserved screen time with some characteristic trademarks. While Akihiko may show off his boxing skills, we get the first glimpse of Mitsuru while giving a speech as the student council president. One of the newly announced bonding scenes was shown as well. Take a look:
We got a fresh look at the school, the city Tatsumi Port Island, Tartarus and even got a glimpse of some battles against the shadows as they are lurking within the walls of Tartarus. Some key members like Ken Amada and Shinjiro Aragaki are missing, but we will probably get our first look after the next full moon.

The first full moon passed, and we got our first promised batch of details from Atlus. And since the full moon plays a bigger role in Persona 3, we will get some new information and details with every passing full moon, until the official release from Persona 3 Reload in early 2024 to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
