That Starfield will be a massive game with apparently endless opportunities and task is general knowledge by now. But there is still more to come, for example the housing system, which was revealed recently. Here is everything we know so far about the housing system in Starfield.
Features like a housing system have always been part of the latest Bethesda Games. In Skyrim, you were able to build your own huts and upgrade them into true mansions and in Fallout you were even able to build whole bases with multiple objectives in it. Now new information about the housing system in the upcoming Bethesda sci-fi title Starfield were revealed.
Starfield: Housing System Available In Several Major Cities
In a massive ingame universe like Starfield, with over 1000 planets, moons, space stations and cities, every explorer needs at least one place just for themselves. And according to the Bethesda employees Emil Pagliarulo, Lead Game Designer, and Will Shen, Lead Quest Designer, this will be possible in the game.
In a recent Discord Q&A, which answers were also shared on the ResetEra gaming forum, there will be housing in different cities across the ingame world. This was revealed after a user asked the two developers, if the players would be able to buy houses or other properties in the main cities.
Both Bethesda representatives answered the question. Will Shen, phrases his answer a little bit shorter than his college and stated,
Yep! There's housing in different cities that the player can get. Some you have to purchase and some are rewards for specific quests.
While Emil Pagliarulo went a little bit further into the details. According to him The players would be able to purchase dwellings in all the major cities in the game,
Sure can! You can purchase a dwelling in all the major cities in the game. And there's at least one that you get specifically for completing... something
For sure there will be further information regarding the housing system, when the release date gets closer, and at the moment we can only speculate about this feature. But the answers might indicate that players can own multiple houses or other properties across the universe, even if they're only located in the major cities, as Pagliarulo indicates in his answer.
Only the future will show, if we're able to build and house wherever we like, for example on lifeless planets or little moons somewhere in space. Of course, we will keep you up-to-date once more information or announcement are out there.
