We have a lot more gaming goodness to look forward to in 2022, and now we know exactly which gaming showcases will reveal what and when.
Thanks to the AccountNGT Discord server and its user The Marmolade, we now have a pretty clear idea of what gaming showcases to expect in 2022. Why should we believe The Marmolade? Well, he correctly predicted the Hogwarts State of Play, which is happening today. That's all the reason we have, but also reason enough, because it's unlikely that predicting the showcase of a AAA game was just a lucky shot. So... without further ado, here are all the game showcases coming our way this year.
All Gaming Showcases 2022
- March 17: Hogwarts Legacy State of Play
- March 22: PlayStation VR2 Developer Showcase
- March 23: Nintendo Indie World Showcase
- April: Gotham Knight Press Event
- May: Netherrealm Studios Showcase
- June: Suicide Squad Showcase
- Late July / August: Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary Showcase
As for the Netherrealm showcase, we're getting more than just an event announcement: According to The Marmolade, fans will be pleasantly surprised by it. Does that mean we're getting a new Mortal Kombat announcement? It does seem likely, considering that Street Fighter 6 was just announced.
As for the Nintendo showcase, could it be that we're getting some news on the Nintendo Switch 2, which was recently unearthed by rumors? All is possible, but at least the wait is a little bit easier, knowing what we're waiting for.
