Friday the 13th: The Game is based on, you guessed it, the Friday the 13th movies . It's an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game that allows you to play as either Jason Voorhees or the camp counselors that are trying to survive the night before Jason gets you.

Friday the 13th offers many different types of survival, so you'll have quite a bit of replayability, especially if you are playing with your friends. You can test out different survival tactics, such as sneaking around and waiting until your rescue comes, fleeing from the campgrounds yourself or even taking Jason on head on!

For only $4.99/€4.99 it's worth checking out. Hurry though and try it out now, as the game's being taken down from Steam at the end of 2023!

The Blackout Club is a first-person multiplayer co-op horror game that is playable with up to four players. You, together with your other teenage friends, are trying to uncover the mysteries of the monstrous secret beneath your small town. With the help of various tools, you'll have to avoid the grasp of the adults trying to stop you from finding the monsters that took your friends.

Every night, everyone in town gets out of bed and sleepwalks. In the morning, they wake up with no recollection of what happened or where they were.

The Blackout Club is a bit pricier at $29.99/ €24.99, but it promises a high amount of replayability and also offers plenty of DLCs if you ever want to expand the fun from the base game.

When there's something strange in the neighborhood, who you gonna call? Phasmophobia!

Unlike most ghost/demon discovery games, Phasmophobia takes a different spin on ghost-y horror games. All you have to do is find the ghost, determine what type of ghost it is, find out what's bothering them, and get out alive. Easy, right? Well, not necessarily. It all comes down to your teamwork.

The game is still in its early access stages, so it can still be a little rough at times, but it also means that there will be a bunch still added to the game. Phasmophobia can be played with four players, and you'll have to work together to solve the problems of each haunted location.

The game costs $13.99/ €11.59 currently, so if you have a bit of loose change, you can try the game out.

7. Inside the Backrooms

Based on a famous creepypasta, Inside the Backrooms takes you just there, the backrooms. It's an online co-op horror game for up to four players. You'll have to survive different levels and solve new puzzles in each one. You're not the only ones in the backrooms, though. Be careful not to be caught by the entities.

The game is currently in early access and costs $6.99/€6.99 on Steam.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre lets you in on all the fun we've seen in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies . In this asymmetrical third-person multiplayer horror game you can either take on the role of one of the notorious Slaughter family, or their victims and try to come out of the situation victorious. Or at least alive.

It's a bit pricy at $39.99/€38.99, but it offers a bit of replayability. If you're a fan of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, then it's definitely worth checking out. Otherwise, perhaps some of our other games are a better fit for you and your friends.

You and up to three more friends are stuck in a house in Pacify, as you're working for PAH Inc. to capture the supernatural entities. There's an entity in that house too, but they'll switch between good and evil every once in a while. As soon as they turn evil, they'll chase you and your friends through the house, and you'll definitely want to avoid her. As time progresses, the evil side will take over more and more, and it's up to you to pacify the evil within.

Pacify costs $4.99/€4.99 on Steam and offers many different game modes and multiple missions for you to choose from.

Don't Starve Together is a survival horror game where you'll have to survive in the harsh wilderness together, all while unraveling the mysteries of "The Constant". The quirky artstyle can make this game a bit less scary at times, but don't be fooled, there's always something waiting to kill you.

The best tip we can give to you is: don't starve. At $14.99/€14.99 on Steam, it's pretty affordable.

3. Deceit 2

This multiplayer horror game isn't co-op but rather un-co-op. Is that a word? Either way, in Deceit 2, you won't know who you can trust, not even your closest friends. You'll play in groups of 6-9 players, and your goal is to escape the Ritual. The problem is, that two of you are corrupted by evil and are trying to sacrifice you to the Game Master's Ritual. Find out who you can trust and try to stop the Ritual before you're all sacrificed.

The game costs $14.99/€13.99 on Steam and there's also a demo that you can test out first. If you're looking for a free co-op horror game, the first title in the series, Deceit, is out for free to play.

In this co-op horror game you'll play in groups of 1-4 players to unveil the dark secrets of the abandoned Happisburg hedge maze. You'll either stumble through the maze itself or look through the spine-chilling case files. You'll encounter a bunch of unique monsters and have to work together to survive your adventure.

The worst part is, sometimes you'll even have to break the first rule of horror movies: never split up. You can buy it on Steam for $9.99 / €8.99.

Have you ever wanted to play a game that includes your favorite horror characters like Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers , Pyramid Head and more? Well, then Dead by Daylight might be the game for you! In this asymmetrical horror game, you can either play as your favorite horror icons as a Killer to sacrifice the Survivors to the entity. It's a 4v1 game, where the Survivors are racing to fix the generators to open the gates to escape, before the Killer gets them.

Dead by Daylight offers a lot of replayability and plenty of characters to choose from. You can play co-op with your friends, or alone in a solo queue. It costs $19.99 / €19.99 and also has a Halloween event going on in October, so it's definitely worth checking out.
