Zelda Skyward Sword was kind of revolutionary when it came out on the Nintendo Wii in 2011, thanks to its motion control. 10 years later, Nintendo re-released Skyward Sword as an HD version for the Nintendo Switch.

As expected, the Wii-optimized controls can be a bit tricky to handle on the Switch. There are a lot of commands for having Link do a certain action, so it's actually no surprise that you'll eventually forget which button combinations do what. And there's one action that has confused a lot of players: using the harp. So here's how to use the harp in Zelda Skyward Sword HD on Nintendo Switch.

The moment where most players wonder about how to use the harp is when doing the Light Tower quest. At the end of the quest, you're supposed to climb the tower (no challenge), then position Link in the middle of the circle (yes, that's achievable as well) and then play the harp – and here's where you might struggle, because the game simply doesn't tell you how to do that.

So let's get to it: As soon as you stand in the middle of the circle on the Light Tower's top, press the X button to take the harp in your hands. Yes, it's that simple. All that is left to do now is to swing the right Joy-Con from left to right and back in the right rhythm.

And that's all you need to know to proceed – now get your eyes back on the Switch and continue playing one of the most innovative Zelda games ever made!
