Before we are able to locate all the Great Fairy Fountains in Hyrule, we have to go on a little quest to lure them out of their hiding spots. All it really needs is just a little melody. Doesn't sound that hard, right? But in order to play some music for the fairies, we first need to find the appropriate instruments!

Enough playing hide and seek, we require some fairy-like assistance! Here's how you get them to help you out.
The Stable Trotters
Ever heard of the Stable Trotters? Well, you for sure will soon enough.
They are a musical troupe who are traveling all over Hyrule to bring music into peoples' lives. But now they require your help first. You can find them at the Woodland Stable in the southwest of the Eldin region. After you started the corresponding side quest, they will tell you their story.

Unfortunately, on the way to their latest performance to brighten up the Great Fairy's day, they found themselves in a little accident. The troupe tells you about a mysterious blond-haired woman who seems to be the cause of the trouble. Don't worry, no one got hurt except for Breezer, their cart! In the heat of the moment, their horse ran away and Breezer lost two of its wheels.
Without their beloved vehicle, there is no way to reach the Fairy along with the musician's instruments. And this is where you come in!
Use your Skill “Ultrahand” to fix up the two broken wheels. If that is done, you just need to attach the harness of the horse to Breezer, the musician's vehicle.
Now you can easily go on your way to play a little song to the Great Fairy! It won't take you long to find her hiding spot. After the Stable Troupe started their performance, the fairy reveals herself thanks to the lovely melody.
The Great Fairy Fountain Locations
Since there are several Great Fairy Fountains all over Hyrule, you need to continue your trip in order to find all of them. All the fairies' hiding spots are marked on this map:
There are a total of four Fairy Fountains all over Hyrule.
Their locations are:
- Snowfield Stable
- Woodland Stable (this is the one you just did)
- Outskirt Stable
- Dueling Peaks Stable
How To Upgrade Armor
Upgrading your armor works basically the same way as it did in Breath of the Wild. Here's everything you need to know:
- Each Great Fairy requires specific materials to upgrade your armor. These materials can include monster parts, gemstones, and other resources. Check the requirements for each Great Fairy by talking to them.
- Once you have gathered the necessary materials, approach the Great Fairy and interact with her fountain. Select the armor you want to upgrade from the list of available options. The Great Fairy will enhance your armor, increasing its defense rating.
- Armor upgrades are not limited to a single level. You can further improve your armor by returning to the Great Fairy and providing additional materials. Each subsequent upgrade will require more resources and may unlock additional set bonuses or abilities.
- Keep in mind that armor upgrades are limited by the number of Great Fairies you have unlocked. Initially, you can only upgrade your armor twice. To unlock further upgrade levels, you need to find and free the additional Great Fairies.
Now you can go on a trip to find all the four fairies and upgrade your armor! And don't forget to bring along your musical friends!
