Rockstar Games has finally revealed its first GTA VI trailer, and it's already breaking records. But when will the next GTA VI trailer release? Though there's no safe answer on this by now, we can make an educated guess by looking at how Rockstar Games released previous games' trailers.
GTA VI is without any doubt the most anticipated game of the decade. The first trailer made almost a 100 million views on YouTube during the first 24 hours, so almost as many as the GTA V announcement trailer collected until today since Rockstar Games uploaded it in November 2011.
Thanks to the trailer, we finally got a first impression on what GTA VI will look like. Plus, we now know that the next Grand Theft Auto will be released in 2025, which means we'll still have to wait more than a year. This also means that we'll definitely get some more GTA VI trailers in the future – but when?
GTA VI Trailer 2: When Will It Come Out? | Release Date Estimation
Since there is no word from the official side regarding the release date of the next GTA VI trailer, the only option right now is to limit the potential release window by making an educated guess. For that, we'll take the game's release year, the latest rumors and the release of other Rockstar Games trailers from the past into account.
It is set in stone that GTA VI is still more than a year away. The game will release in 2025, but probably not on New Year's Eve, rather in between end of Q1 and mid-2025. This means Rockstar still has at least 15–18 months of time to promote the game through trailers and with other marketing measures.
Looking at the official YouTube channel, Rockstar released the first GTA V trailer in November 2011. The second one(s) (which were focussed on the protagonists Michael, Franklin and Trevor) followed 17 months later, in late April 2013. Until its release in mid-September, Rockstar released 8 GTA V trailers in total.
With GTA VI being approximately one and a half years away, we can pretty much rule out that Rockstar will take another 17 months until they release a second trailer – as well as ruling out that the next trailer will release all too soon. The renowned industry insider Tom Henderson shares this perspective, expecting the trailer release to be "a while away":

Taking all the currently available information into account and comparing it with Rockstar's recent game release policy and trailer release policy, we expect the next GTA VI trailer to be released in late 2024, with the game itself to be released a few months later in the first half of 2025.
