Seraphine seems to be on Riot's mind a lot these days, especially with the upcoming adjustments to her kit in LoL Patch 13.22. But many players believe that the balance team doesn't truly understand Seraphine's play style.
Seraphine has been a pretty controversial champion since her debut back in 2020. First she was dubbed "Sona 2.0" which mainly forced her into the enchanter role – even though she was meant to be a mid lane mage – but as the years went on, a small minority of players realized she was actually a great APC.
With her win rate hovering around the 54% win rate mark as a bot lane champion rather than a mid laner or support, Riot swooped in to make some major changes to the champion, in hopes of monitoring her support and APC strength, disregarding the mid lane completely. Now, the most recent changes weren't enough, so Riot is forcing more adjustments in LoL Patch 13.22.

SERAPHINE CHANGES ON THIS PBE CYCLE OPINIONS? by u/aroushthekween in SeraphineMains
The Seraphine community is in uproar. The changes to her kit in LoL Patch 13.21 have improved her APC kit by a huge margin. According to stats site u.gg her win rate hovered at 53% in Patch 13.19, but that win rate has shot up to almost 56% in the last week ever since Riot released a major changes to her kit.
One of the things that makes Seraphine such a great bot lane pick is how she's able to burn through tanks thanks to the increased damaged based on the target's missing health percentage, which basically meant she is able to cut through tanks like they're smooth butter.
Well, in LoL Patch 13.22 Riot is going to be nerfing her Q, as well as looking to nerf some of the AP ratios on her passive and W.

- Passive - Stage Presence
- Damage: 4/8/14/25 (+7% AP) >>> 5/10/18/30 (based on level 1/6/11/16) (+5% AP) (breaks-even at 50/100/200/250 AP)
- Q - High Note
- Increased Damage threshold: 5% per 7.5% (capped at 75%) >>> 5% per 8.5% target's missing HP (capped at 85%)
- W - Surround Sound
- Shield AP ratio: 25% >>> 20% AP
The damage change to her Q has hit the community the hardest, with most players feeling like she is going to fall off in the late game and not scale as well as she used to. Seraphine was a great late game damage source, and she was always supposed to be a scaling mage, so it made sense for her to be so good at the later stages of the game. Now, the player base feels that she will not be as good anymore.
Since she dealt a lot of damage against missing health targets thanks to her Q, she will not be as effective against tanks anymore either and most believe that Riot is trying to force her into the enchanter role with these changes, which might have been her most played role thus far, but also her worst.
There had been some movement speed adjustments on the PBE as well, but those were pulled, which also disappointed many players who would have loved to see those changes so that she could, at least, be played in the mid lane.
