The Nintendo Switch 2 is in the works and more and more rumors are about regarding what the console could look like and what the performance will be like. Some say it's even going to have a 120Hz display.
The Nintendo Switch 2 has been rumored to come out this year for quite some time now and with more and more information trickling down to the public, most people have confirmed – at least in their own minds – that the next gen Nintendo console will be released in 2024.
Now, a Taiwanese news outlet has shared some information on the potential specs of the Nintendo Switch 2. 120Hz monitor, storage and memory... but how true is this information?
Nintendo Switch 2 Price Increase Due To Improved Hardware
Taiwan's Economic Daily, outlined that there will be a 33% price increase for the Nintendo Switch, due to the increase in capabilities the console will have. Not into all the technical talk? Basically, to alleviate issues within the supply chain, as well as the decrease of the Japanese Yen, the console will have an increased price. So start saving up, boys and girls.
In the same article, it was also explained that the console will have quite a lot of improved hardware from the predecessor. Since its release in 2017, the Nintendo Switch has had almost no technical upgrades, meaning that newer games have a hard time running on it, as we have clearly seen – looking at you Mortal Kombat 1.
So, what specs can you expect from the Nintendo Switch 2 according to these rumors?

Along with the upgrades mentioned above, the source also states that the battery life will be greatly improved and that Nintendo games could reach up to 120fps thanks to the improved refresh rate on the display.
Of course, all this information has to be taken lightly, since it is just rumors, but it's looking like the Nintendo Switch 2 is going to be another great console if all this information does turn out to be true. But all this will come at the cost of a hefty price increase, sadly.
