Dragon's Dogma 2: How To Get A House Early | A Place to Call Home Quest Guide

You can buy houses in Dragon's Dogma 2. In fact, you can get your first home pretty early in the game as part of a side quest. In this guide, we will show you how to get it.

The world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a harsh one. After fighting a ton of enemies, the only way to fully recover your health is to rest. But camping kits are heavy and inns are expensive, so what could be better than a home of your own where you can sleep for free and store items?

You will be able to become a proud property owner quite early in the game. All you have to do is complete the A Place to Call Home side quest. To start the quest, simply approach Mildred, who is standing in front of the main entrance of The Stardrop Inn in Vernworth.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Complete A Place to Call Home To Get Your First House

After talking to Mildred in front of the Stardrop Inn, she will tell you that she is looking for someone to look after her house for a week while she travels, and she will ask you to meet her in front of her house in the Vernworth common quarter. A quest marker will automatically be set, so make sure the A Place to Call Home quest is prioritized and head over there.

Mildred will be happy to see you and will ask you if you are willing to stay at her house for a week while she is away. Accept her offer and she will leave on her travels.

Now you'll have to wait for one week in-game. Resume your adventures or, if you can't wait, skip forward for a week by sleeping or sitting on a bench to move time forward. After that week you will get a message that the time is up, and you need to talk to Mildred again, who will be standing in front of the house.

Mildred is so excited about traveling that she wants to sell her house and move to a new place. Good for you, because now she offers you to buy her house for the princely sum of 20,000 gold.

You can accept her offer right away or come back later if you are short on money. No worries, Mildred will be standing in front of the house until you buy it from her.

Congratulations, you now have your own home in Dragon’s Dogma 2!
