If you are playing Dragon's Dogma 2, you will have seen the blue or orange hand symbols next to the quests in the respective menu. These actually have an important meaning.
Dragon's Dogma 2 does not give you too much information when giving you new quests, nor does it explain the different colored hand symbols with roman letters in them that you can often find next to the quest names. These actually have a certain significance and are important to understand.
The Different Hand Symbols in Dragon's Dogma 2 Explained
Here’s what each hand symbol means:
The blue hand symbol: Your main pawn has information that can help with this quest. They gathered it while doing the quest with another player.
The orange hand symbol: At least one of your support pawns has information about the quest from doing it before.
The numbers inside the symbol: The number 1 or 2 tells you if one or both of your pawns have done the quest before and can give you information.
An Hourglass symbol: If you see an hourglass icon next to your quest, you should always make it a priority, as it is a time-sensitive quest that may fail if you take too long.
How Can Pawns Help You With Quests?
If you see a hand icon next to a quest, which means one of your pawns can help you with it, simply set this quest as your priority and tell your Pawns "Go!" and they will run ahead of you and lead the way to your priority quest. Listen to them carefully — they can give you useful hints and additional information.
