These Champions Are in Need of a Rework

There are over 150 champions in League of Legends and some of them are pretty old and need some love from Riot. Please, rework these champions!

Cosmic Stinger Skarner — Skarner

When was the last time you've seen someone play Skarner? The only thing that you usually see is RIP on his picture at op.gg. That's how many people play this champ.

Shouldn't that be a sign for Riot to finally change something about the champ? Visual updates, updates to his kit, anything. It feels like he's been ignored for the last 5 years. | © Riot Games

Bee Maw skin — Kog'Maw

Kog'Maw is a champion that just doesn't seem to work. He isn't being played in pro play and he sure as hell isn't seeing the light of day in solo queue. He's a decent champion, but only after a solid 35 minutes of play. There has to be a better way to have Kog'Maw be at least over 1% in the pick rate department, right?

Not only play-wise but lore wise, too. Kog'Maw behind the rest of the pack — much like all the Void creatures, it seems. So maybe Riot can do something about that as well! | © Riot Games

Quinn 4 — Quinn

Quinn barely sees the light of day on the Rift these days. Why? Well, probably because she's in dire need of a rework.

Both her kit and her visuals could need an update and I bet you if she got one, so many more people would play her. Because in theory, Quinn is a great champion and could be so much fun to play... if only she was up to today's League standards. | © Riot Games

Festival queen anivia — Anivia

Anivia has such a great lore and a really cool kit, but her visuals just aren't up-to-date anymore. You can get the newest skins possible for her, you will feel that she hasn't been updated in forever.

However, her old skins... they're just not playable. They're a joke. Please, Riot, give Anivia some love again! | © Riot Games

Storm dragon aurelion sol — Aurelion Sol

Let's all join hands and chant once more for good measure 'Give ASol a Rework!'. Seriously, upon release, we got to feel and see the power the otherworldly dragon could hold, but he was quickly nerfed to hell and back. Maybe Riot is playing the metagame and right now, Aurelion Sol is merely 'captured by the Targonians' and once he gets his rework, he will exact his revenge on all of Runeterra? Or it just isn't that deep... and he is just a mere dragon that can't even hide in the bushes.

Seriously, I could rant for days about everything wrong with Aurelion Sol and his kit in the current meta, but that would take up too much of your time, so let's just say this. No matter what Riot does with Aurelion Sol, anything is better than the current state he's in. | © Riot Games

Emerald taric — Taric

Taric is a great support and pretty fun to play, but in 2022, he just feels like he is lagging behind some of the newer champions. His Q heal is laughable, his visuals suck, and it just seems like Riot has forgotten he exists. The last time I saw this pick was back in the day when Sona + Taric was a thing.

Please Riot, give this man a glow up he deserves it. His abilities just aren't fun in the current state of the game, and he deserves some love. | © Riot Games

League of Legends is going into its 12th season next year. Yes, you read that right, the 12th season. You know, for a pretty old lady she's been holding on quite well. Sure, the knees are a bit rusted and her dentures float in a glass by her bed at night, but a bit of makeup can fix all that up and make her look as good as new. And by 'her', we mean League of Legends.

Over the last 12 years, Riot Games has created more than just a game. League of Legends has turned into a whole world filled with characters and champions, which we get to experience through other mediums like a Netflix show. Oh, and let's not forget about all the alternate universes we've also got with the multitude of skin lines. But as we've already said, League isn't the youngest lady out there anymore. She is getting there in age and those cracks are clearly visible around some corners.

And by that, we mean that some champions are just... old. They don't look nice, their kits are wonky, they don't fit into 2022 League of Legends and their skins suck. So, what can Riot do to fix all that? By going over the visuals and updating them. They're doing it with Udyr, have done so with Fiddlesticks and Dr. Mundo, but the list is growing of champions in desperate need of some VFX updates. This is our list, so please Riot, listen to us!
