League of Legends Patch 12.14 is going to keep the Star Guardian event rolling, which means more skins and cosmetics are heading our way, but what about balance changes?

League of Legends Patch 12.14 is set to release in a few weeks and when the new patch drops, we will be right in the middle of the huge Star Guardian event. New skins will be added to the PBE and, of course, there are going to be balance changes that come with every new patch.

We take a look at the PBE server to see what changes Riot is implementing, so you know what to expect in the next League of Legends patch, though. To be honest, for now, there aren't too many balance changes on the PBE server, but we will be sure to update this article once we know more.

Balance Changes Coming In 12.14

Riot Phroxzon mentioned that these will be the last major changes before Worlds 2022, and that they are starting to slowly move into the Preseason. Some changes that Phroxzon mentioned, but aren't final, are some healing and GP nerfs. He also mentioned that the balance changes will be focussed on the Pro meta. This patch mainly revolves around objective changes, and there are a lot of them. Let's check them out.

And those are all the changes coming in 12.14. Once we know what champion buff and nerfs are coming, we will add them to this article. The Drake priority in Pro play should definitely increase after these changes. Right now, most teams don't really go for the drakes in the early game. We could definitely see some Gnar or Azir nerfs, since they have become must-pick champions in pro play, but I guess we just have to wait and see.

Champion Changes Coming In Patch 12.14

As previously mentioned, GP will be receiving some nerfs, but we haven't gotten his numbers yet, so let's check out the other changes that will be coming in patch 12.14.

ChampionChanges
Aatrox
  • Base Stats: Health per level: 104 > 114
  • Umbral Dash (E): Healing: 18/20/22/24/26% > 18/19.5/21/22.5/24
  • World Ender (R): Increased Healing: 25/40/55% > 25/35/45%
Red Kayn
  • Base Stats: Health Per Level: 99 > 109
  • The Darkin Scythe (P): Heal 25-35% of Damage dealt to champions > 20-30%
Wukong
  • Stone Skin (P): Health Regeration Per Stack (max. 10): 0.5% > 0.35%
  • Cyclone (R): Total Damage AD Ratio: 220% > 250%
Yuumi
  • Zoomies (E): Heal: 70/90/110/130/150 (+35% AP) > 70/90/110/130/150 (+30% AP)
Janna
  • Eye of the Storm (P): Bonus Heal and Shield Power: 20% > 25% | Shield Amount: 65/90/115/140/165 > 75/100/125/150/175
  • Monsoon (R): Heal per Second: 90/145/200 (+45% AP) > 100/150/200 (+50% AP)

Some interesting changes here, mostly more healing nerfs. Aatrox isn't really a meta champion, so seeing him receive some nerfs is a bit weird to say the least.

Item Changes Coming In Patch 12.14

Champions aren't the only ones receiving healing nerfs, some items are also being adjusted. This will definitely make enchanters a lot weaker in the support role.

ItemChanges to Healing and Shielding Power
Forbiddon Idol10% > 8%
Ardent Censer10% > 8%
Mikael's Blessing20% > 16%
Redemption20% > 16%
Staff of Flowing Water10% > 8%
Moonstone RenewerMax Stacks Number: 5 > 4

These changes might seem minor, but they definitely will be noticeable in game. These are all the upcoming balance changes coming to 12.14 for now.

New Star Guardian Skins

Since there are so few balance changes for now on the Public Beta Environment Server, we've decided to just marvel at the upcoming Star Guardian skins which you can already test out. A total of six skins can be tested, one of which is a prestige version of a pre-existing Star Guardian skin for Syndra.

Akali is also getting a new skin with a completely new voiceover. This is going to be her first legendary skin. Check out the official Riot Games PBE Subreddit to see if the team will be making any changes and adjustment to any of the upcoming Star Guardian skins.

Which Champions Are Getting Star Guardian Skins?

A total of six champions are going to be getting Star Guardian skins. Riot had previously revealed the Taliyah skin to announce that the profits of this skin would be going into the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, but the other skins all revealed brand-new splash arts.

  • Star Guardian Akali
  • Star Guardian Rell
  • Star Guardian Quinn
  • Star Guardian Taliyah
  • Star Guardian Syndra Prestige
  • Star Nemesis Morgana

Morgana fits the role of the evil queen in this magical girl universe to a tee and her skin is totally worth the price and wait. Seriously, Riot nailed the thematic for Morgana.

Upcoming Mythic Chroma

Riot is also working on more new mythic content. In LoL Patch 12.12, they introduced the new mythic chroma for Final Boss Veigar. Now, on a two-patch basis, they will be expanding this endeavor and work on more mythic chromas for the mythic shop.

Which Champion is Getting a New Mythic Chroma?

Since we're going to be in the middle of the Star Guardian event, the next mythic chroma is obviously going to be for a previously released legendary Star Guardian skin. At first, we thought it would be for either Xayah or Rakan, but instead, we are getting a new mythic chroma for Star Guardian Jinx!

When Will League of Legends Patch 12.14 Release?

The next League of Legends patch is going to be released on July 27, 2022. So, get ready for some more Star Guardian skins and an update of the current Star Guardian event which has swept the world of Riot with multiple events in multiple games by Riot.

Which changes would you like to see come in Patch 12.14? Is Master Yi finally going to be deleted or will we have to endure the wrath of Yuumi even longer?
