The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake has had a tough time. Announced in 2021 after three years of development at Aspyr, then cancelled due to lack of progress, it has eventually been resurrected by Saber Interactive. It looks like they are determined to bring the project over the finishing line.

A Journey Through Development Turmoil

While official updates on the game's progress have been few and far between since then, Sabre Interactive CEO Matthew Karch has now announced that KOTOR is still in development and progressing.

After the company split from the Embracer group, they took the remake with them and are still actively working on it. In an interview with IGN, Karch said:

"It's clear and it's obivous that we're working on this. It's been in the press numerous times. What I will say is that the game is alive and well, and we're dedicated to making sure we exceed consumer expectations."

While there is no further information regarding a release date. We will keep you updated.
