Tekken 8 players want a guest fighter from Final Fantasy added to the game. Will the devs indulge their fan base?
Tekken 8 just launched on January 26 with a 32-character roster. Of course, the usual characters like Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima are part of the roster, along with Panda, Paul Phoenix and many more. The player base would love some DLC content with new fighters, though, and are hoping for a Final Fantasy and Tekken 8 crossover.
Players have asked whether Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy 7 could be added as a guest fighter in the series. These demands have reached high places and Tekken 8 director Katsuhiro Harada himself has revealed his stance on the inclusion of Tifa.
Tekken 8: Will Tifa Be Added To The Game?
Fans were pretty adamant and managed to get the hashtags "Tekken 8" and "Tifa" trending together on Twitter/X, which even caught the attention of Tekken 8 director Katsuhiro Harada. The director even responded to the tweets in hilarious fashion.
We all know she is attractive and I understand that. But as yet we have not decided anything about guest characters etc.

In Tekken 7, Noctis Lucis Caelum from Final Fantasy XV was added in a DLC already, so the idea of getting Tifa into Tekken 8 really isn't too far-fetched. Many fans have even stated that she makes a lot more sense in a fighting game than any other Final Fantasy character.
For now, there is only one DLC character that has been revealed which is none other than Eddy Gordo who made his debut in Tekken 3. So this just shows that there are a few DLC characters in the pipeline. If one of those is Tifa remains to be seen though.
