Starfield: Important Decisions
A lot of decisions throughout your playthrough are more trivial and don't include a lot of changes, especially not in the long run. However, there are certain decisions you must be careful with because they can have significant consequences for your run, with some of which may be quite unfortunate, too.
Those six decisions will have an effect on your story:
- Who To Romance – If you enter a relationship, you'll be granted more dialogue options and your special someone will appear in the ending.
- Side With UC SysDef or Crimson Fleet – Both groups offer similar rewards, but one of them makes the game overall easier if you can handle the consequences. The group you choose will also appear in the ending.
- Go to the Eye or Protect the Lodge – During the mission "High Price to Pay" you have to unwillingly sacrifice one of your companions and determine the identity of The Emissary.
- Side with the Hunter or the Emissary – During the "Unearthed" quest, you need to confront the Hunter and The Emissary. You need to choose with whom you want to side with, leading to an altered final battle.
- Enter The Unity – If you enter the Unity during the last mission, you will end the game and start directly with New Game Plus. Be mindful as you lose a lot of items!
- Reveal You're Starborn or Keep it a Secret – Upon entering New Game Plus, you need to choose if you want to reveal you're Starborn or keep it hidden. Both options have their own benefits, but will alter your complete gameplay experience, with different dialogue options or skipping the complete main quest.
With that, you're hopefully fully prepared to face the ultimate consequences of the game. Have fun!
