The Nachoyah Shrine in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is one of the first shrines in the game. Certain shrines can be rather tricky to complete since they always hide some kind of puzzle in them. This little guide helps you to figure out how the Nachoyah Shrine works.
The Nachoyah Shrine's main job is to teach you how to use your Recall ability. Therefore, you need to play around with said skill and overcome a bunch of obstacles in your way.
If you don't know what Recall is, check out this little guide and understand the ability in order to complete the shrine!
Don't worry, this shrine is fairly easy, and it won't take you too long to solve the little puzzles! Let's head straight into it!
Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Nachoyah Shrine
First we need to find the Nachoyah Shrine in order to learn all about the Recall ability.
- Do you want to have a fancy new design for your glider? Then get this The Legend of Zelda Link amiibo and scan it on your Nintendo Switch!
Location
The Nachoyah Shrine is located in the Great Sky Island area. You will find it in the south of said region, but it is rather tricky to enter the shrine in the first place.
In order to get into the Nachoyah Shrine you have to:
- Go to a Skyview Tower and teleport to the Room of Awakening.
- Use your ability Ascend to get to the top of the stone pavilion.
- Use your ability Recall to reverse the spinning direction of the first cogwheel and walk on it. Repeat the same thing for the second wheel one you are in range to do so.
- Jump down and follow the dark path to the shrine.
Now you made it at least in front of the shrine!
Walkthrough
Right after you went into the shrine, you will find yourself in front of an underground, river-like body of water. Head straight in its direction until you stand as close to the edge as possible.
Wait until the little wooden raft is in reach and jump on it. Quick use your Recall ability on the raft. It will then change its direction and bring you to the other side of the shore. Repeat that on the second raft as well.
This time the raft will even bring you up to the next floor, where you find yourself in front of a huge cogwheel again. Reverse the wheel's direction just like you did it in the beginning. If that's done, jump onto it and enjoy the ride. It will even bring you to a chest!
If you are done looting, jump into the water underneath you to avoid fall damage.
For the final part of the shrine, you have to stand in front of these two huge clock hands above a fence gate. The gate will open whenever the two pointers are overlapping each other.
Wait until they align and use Recall on one of them. As a result they should now rotate in the same direction together. The gate will now stay open for you to pass it.
Now all you have to do is to interact with the sigil to complete the shrine and restore the Light of Blessing.
