A series of major PlayStation exclusives is set to be released on PC this year, according to a new rumor.

Console exclusivity is one of those corporate strategy by major video game companies, such as Nintendo or Sony, that's aimed at securing a loyal player base, but that's rarely celebrated. And yes, I am one of those people who bought a PS5 primarily for the Demon's Souls remake, so the strategy seems to work.

However, time and again, PlayStation-exclusive titles, such as Horizon Zero Dawn or the first installment of The Last of Us, make their way onto home desktop PCs.

Now, an employee of Nixxes, a studio specialized in game porting, has allegedly surfaced on 4Chan, claiming that a lot more games are coming to PC.

These Sony-Exclusive Games Are Supposedly Coming To PC Later This Year

In his post, the 4chan user lists several major titles that are supposed to be released on PC later this year. He mentions The Last of Us Part 2, God of War Ragnarök, Demon's Souls, Ghost of Tsushima, and Gran Turismo 7.

The unknown leaker claims that the reason Demon's Souls and Ghost of Tsushima are becoming available on PC just now is that the studios behind them lack prior experience in porting. Furthermore, a PC version for Spider-Man 2 is said to be coming in 2025, and there are also discussions about older games like Infamous: Second Son coming to PC.

Whether this rumor turns out to be true, is tough to say at the current time. However, given that The Last of Us has already come to PC, it is almost certain that Part 2 will follow one day. Whether the 4chan post is from an actual Nixxes employee is impossible to say and the post should therefore be enjoyed with a grain of salt.In the comments on Reddit, there is strong belief that the news are real because Bloodborne isn't mentioned in this list. I'd laugh, if it weren't so sad. From time to time, occasional 'leaks' surface that fuel our copium. One can still dream, right?
