When the much-anticipated first trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 was released, it came with the announcement of a tantalizingly unspecific release window: 2025 is when the title is finally supposed to come out. Since then, the rumor mill ran hot with speculation on when exactly the game could finally come out.

Recently, one potential window has made the rounds again, as multiple leakers and other sources are pointing towards GTA 6 potentially releasing in February 2025.

GTA 6: Another Round Of Release Date Speculations

While any GTA 6 leak needs to be enjoyed with a healthy grain of salt, the reveal by a Reddit user called JarlofRivia deserves to be highlighted. A few months ago, Jarl claimed to have seen trailer 1, subsequently describing certain scenes from it. As it turns out, everything they said actually ended up being in the trailer, strongly suggesting that they have seen it and that they’re not just talking BS.

In the post, it is also claimed that “release is in Q1”. More concretely, Jarl’s source claimed that it was “maybe January or February”. Previously, Take-Two (parent company of GTA developer Rockstar Games) predicted record high earnings in the fiscal year ending in March 2025, suggesting that the release of GTA 6 is planned for that period.

While neither Rockstar nor Take-Two have given any indication on when exactly the game will come out, it has recently been revealed that the game has reached the final stage of development. We know that everyone involved is chasing perfection for GTA 6, so they will definitely not rush to get it out there as quickly as possible.

Do you believe these claims and reports that GTA 6 could release in early 2025? Or do you think it will be much later than that? Let us know in the comments!
