GTA 6 has a release window, but the Take-Two CEO is not giving fans an exact release date just yet.
GTA 6 has officially been announced and while the trailer for the upcoming and long-awaited game in the Grand Theft Auto series did leak, it did not hurt the developers one bit according to their recent earnings call.
GTA 6 is well on its way and is likely going to be the biggest game of the 2020s. Players have waited for it for years, with GTA 5 having been released back in 2013. But why isn't Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive settling on a final release date yet?
GTA 6 Developers Are Seeking Perfection
Many games that have been released throughout the last few years did so with a lot of bugs and issues. Just recently, there were major issues with the release of Suice Squad: Kill The Justice League, which might have been a reason why the game, whilst good, is not performing as it should.
There are multiple other game releases that have been botched and filled with issues which ruin the excitement of a game, as well as the game itself. This is a situation that Rockstar is trying to avoid, by perfecting GTA 6 before its release.
There are rumors that GTA 6 could be released in early 2025, due to some financial reports, but this is not confirmed. All we know is that Rockstar is aiming for a 2025 release of the game.
In an interview with Variety, Take-Two Interactive CEO, Strauss Zelnick, stated that they're "seeking perfection and when we’ve optimized, that’s the time to release."
It's nice to see that the company is not rushing the release of GTA 6 and worried about profits right away. Instead, it seems like they want to create the best game possible for the players.
