Someone made a GTA 3 remake running on Unreal Engine 5. And it looks insane. Check it out here.
Man, the internet will never stop to amaze me. It's just wonderful what fans will come up with, and often it's even better than what big publishers and developers are offering to players. We got another case of just that happening. Someone on the internet remade GTA 3 in Unreal Engine 5 and it looks a million times better than the GTA Trilogy Remaster. Like... legit a million times. You have to see this.
GTA 3 Remake Looks Amazing
Someone recreated parts of GTA 3 in the brand-new Unreal Engine 5, and it looks even better than you might imagine. This comes from TeaserPlay over on YouTube. I know, you might now be thinking: "Wait a minute, this all seems weirdly familiar." And you would be right to think so: TeaserPlay, a self-described graphic design studio, has given the same treatment to GTA: San Andreas and Vice City just last month.
Now they turned to GTA 3, making all of our dreams of a Next-Gen remake of these classics into reality... at least for a little bit. Check out the amazing video here:
Man, this looks so sick. THIS is what the release of the trilogy should have been, not the sad disaster we got instead. TeaserPlay is thinking the same way, that's why they are making these videos:
I used Lumen for rendering and my point in making this video was to show how powerful Unreal Engine 5 is for making sandbox games and what the remaster version of GTA 3 should look like.
Again, this just hurts... "what GTA 3 SHOULD look like" just hits different, it's so true that re-releases of these classics should look this good. But also, video game development is complicated, I know. A man can dream though, right?
Unreal Engine 5 is looking super impressive already. We haven't gotten any major games using the engine yet, but we know that the next Witcher game will run on Unreal Engine 5, as well as a bunch of other upcoming next-gen games. It also keeps being used to create amazing "remakes" of games like Ocarina of Time and hey, I'm so here for it.
